17 Medaillen für SV
1919
Der letzte Wettkampfhöhepunkt in diesem Kalenderjahr war für Grimma`s Schwimmelite
der „ 12. Internationale Erzgebirgsschwimmcup“ im „Aqua Marien“ in Marienberg.
Dieses Schwimmfest wurde in diesem Jahr mit 29 Mannschaften aus drei Ländern durchgeführt.
436 Starter aus Polen, Tschechien und Deutschland stiegen zu 1707 Einzel-
und 38 Staffelstarts auf den Starblock. Am Sonntagabend konnte sich unser Team mit
5 Gold-, 4 Silber- und 8 Bronzemedaillen sowie 37 Platzierungen 4 – 6 sehen lassen.
Mit der Zeit von 0:32,68 min. über 50 m Brust und 0:25,11 min. über 50 m Freistil schwamm
sich Tom Franke (Jg. 89) jeweils in das Junioren-Finale. Dabei steigerte er sich über die
Bruststrecke um eine halbe Sekunde und stellte mit 0:32,18 min. einen neuen Muldental-Jahrgangsrekord
auf. Der Lohn war der 2. Platz in diesem Finale. Mit einem sicheren Sieg beendete Tom den Freistilendlauf.
Neben Tom schwamm sich auch Tony Thalmann (Jg. 87) in das offene Finale über 50 m Schmetterling
und verfehlte mit 0:26,68 min. nur knapp den dritten Platz. Mit neuem Jahrgangsrekord über 100 m
Brust in 1:25,70 min. erkämpfte sich Sigrid-Annelie Jakob (Jg. 90) die Goldmedaille.
Auch unsere 4 x 50 m Freistil-Staffel mit Lisa Müller, Janine Kleidon,
Tom Franke und
Ronny Köhler erschwammen sich mit der Bronzemedaille einen Platz auf dem Siegerpodest.
Erfolgreichster Sportler in unserem Team war Tim Maiwald (Jg. 92) mit
je zwei Gold- und Bronzemedaillen und bestätigte damit seine enormen Leistungssteigerungen im vergangenen Jahr.
Auch Lena Walesch, Tina Nebe, Alex Rüger wurden neben den bereits genannten zu Siegerehrungen aufgerufen.
