Der diesjährige 11. Erzgebirgsschwimmcup wurde mit der
Rekordbeteiligung von
37
Mannschaften durchgeführt. Die 730 Starter aus Tschechien, Polen und
Deutschland
stiegen
insgesamt 3150 mal auf den Startblock. Auch unsere Auswahl
war auf diesen
letzten
Jahreshöhepunkt gut vorbereitet. Sophie Roßner
begann gleich beim ersten
Wettkampf
über 100 m Schmetterling mit einer Goldmedaille.
Unsere
Bilanz am Sonntagabend konnte sich mit 13 x Gold, 17 x
Silber,
16 x Bronze und 41 x Platz 4 –
6 sehen lassen. Überragender
Schwimmer bei
unseren
jüngsten Teilnehmern, die am Sonnabend ihre Wettkämpfe bestritten,
war
Marius
Kretzschmar (Jg. 96). Mit 5 Gold- und einer Silbermedaille bei
seinen
6 Einzelstarts erzielte er eine optimale
Ausbeute. Über 50 m Rücken, 50 m und
100 m
Freistil, 50 m Schmetterling und 100 m
Lagen verbesserte
er dabei auch die
Muldental-Jahrgangsrekorde zum Teil sogar um mehrere
Sekunden. Neben Sophie Roßner
erhielt
auch Marius den Pokal für die punktbeste Leistung in seinem
Jahrgang. Gemeinsam
mit
Alex Rüger
und Florian Martin erkämpften
sich beide ebenfalls noch die Silbermedaille
über 4 x 50 m Freistil mit äußerst knappen Rückstand
zum SC DHfK Leipzig. Im Teilnehmerfeld
der
Jahrgänge 96/97 ml. (62 Sportler) erschwamm sich
unser Sean-Brian Marx (Jg. 97)
als
jüngster
Schwimmer unseres Teams den 13. Platz.

Während
sich unsere kleinen Leistungsschwimmer dann am Sonntag im Erlebnis-
bereich des „Aqua Marien“ vergnügten,
kämpften unsere älteren Sportler um
gute
Platzierungen und Zeiten im Wettkampfbecken. Dabei begann es mit den
50 m Rücken gar nicht so
verheißungsvoll. Danach steigerten sich alle und bestätigten
mit ihren Leistungen den
Trainingsfleiß der letzten Wochen.
Tom
Franke (Jg. 89)
schwamm sich jeweils über 50 m Brust,
Schmetterling und
Freistil in das Nachwuchsfinale.
Dies gelang über 50 m Freistil und
Schmetterling
ebenfalls
Lisa
Müller (Jg. 91) bei den Damen. Auch über 4 x 50 m Freistil war Tom
maßgeblich
an der Silbermedaille für unser
Team hinter dem
SC
Riesa beteiligt. Auf Platz 3 liegend sprang er als Schlussschwimmer ins Wasser
und
sicherte
mit inoffiziell 24,51 sek. vor der polnischen Mannschaft den 2. Platz. Der
Muldental-Kreisrekord
steht bei 0:25,08 min. und wird von Ronny Köhler gehalten.
Drei Jahrgangsrekorde (50 und 100 m Freistil, 50 m
Schmetterling) schwamm Tom auf
ein
neues Niveau. Auch Stefanie Höhne (100 m Freistil),
Claudia
Sommer (50 m Brust)
und Sophie
Roßner (100 m Lagen) trugen zur Gesamtbilanz
von
11 Muldental-Jahrgangsrekorden
bei. Mit Spannung erwarteten unsere 29 Aktiven
(mit
166 Starts) das Ergebnis der Mannschaftswertung dieses
11.
Erzgebirgsschwimmcup. Mit 641 Punkten
wurde unser Team beim 3. Platz aufgerufen.
Der
SC Chemnitz (74 Teilnehmer/281
Starts) belegte Platz 2 mit
647
Punkten und die Mannschaft des SC
Berlin-Neukölln (50 Tn./236 St.) konnte sich
mit
696
Punkten über den Gewinn des großen
Wanderpokals freuen.
